 Icoa is committed to bring romance back to the dinner table.
Icoa breads are made with a natural starter, our natural starter was made a few years ago using organic grapes, filtered water & unbleached flour. The natural starter actually takes 2 weeks to grow & once cultured becomes a strong resilient force, packed with great taste & flavor. Breads made with a natural starter last longer & have more flavour.
 The appearance of our loaves is strikingly different, too. Each has a rustic, hand-made quality and a crust that is sturdy and well Caramelized. When the breads come out of the oven, as soon as the cool air hits the crusty loaves they start to crackle or as a passionate baker would say, “The bread is singing”. Our breads display an interesting web like texture, the bread is moist yet resilient and its hearty, grainy flavors make it an ideal accompaniment to fine wines and virtually any type of cuisine.
 Our breads are allowed to rise very slowly; it is a process that takes anywhere from 16 to 24 hours, but only this guarantees the bread develop the distinctive taste & iridescent web-like structure that is unique to Icoa Breads. Attached please find our bread repertoire for your perusal.
